How can bicarb soda be used in bath salts?

Add two cups of bicarb soda to a warm (not hot) bath and soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

Bicarb soda is best used for bathing in combination with Epsom salts.  Used together, the bicarb soda enhances the magnesium of the Epsom salt and allows the body to absorb more magnesium, thus giving optimum results.

Common uses for bicarb soda include:

  • Bath salts for relaxation, relief of itchy skin, exfoliation, sunburn relief, foot soak, alkalising
  • Household cleaning
  • Natural toothpaste and mouth wash
  • Natural deodorant
