How can bicarb soda be used in bath salts?
Add two cups of bicarb soda to a warm (not hot) bath and soak for 15 to 20 minutes.
Bicarb soda is best used for bathing in combination with Epsom salts. Used together, the bicarb soda enhances the magnesium of the Epsom salt and allows the body to absorb more magnesium, thus giving optimum results.
Common uses for bicarb soda include:
- Bath salts for relaxation, relief of itchy skin, exfoliation, sunburn relief, foot soak, alkalising
- Household cleaning
- Natural toothpaste and mouth wash
- Natural deodorant
All of our products are natural and sustainably sourced, however many other brands available offer products artificially manufactured in factories.
Why should I use bath salts?
The benefits of bathing in a salt and baking soda are widely known and varied in effect, but the main goal of this widespread practice is improving your overall wellness.
Baths have long been regarded as an effective way of pampering skin, with long-lasting and hydrating benefits for dry skin and conditions involving a compromised skin barrier.
Among our offerings, Dead Sea and Himalayan Pink Salt contain many trace minerals, and Magnesium Flakes and Epsom are high in Magnesium.
Are all bath salts natural?
No. All the sodium bicarbonate products and bath salts we offer are 100% natural, and sustainably sourced from authentic locations around the world.
We only source products of the highest quality which do not require commercial grade cleaning or distillation.
However, many brands of bath products are artificially manufactured in factories and some chemicals of a lower quality are cleaned using non-natural methods. Check the sources before purchasing.
Can you mix different bath salts together?
Yes. They can be mixed together to combine the benefits of more than one type.
We highly recommend trying to blend your own bath soak, using Epsom, Himalayan Pink, Dead Sea, or even our Hawaiian Black Salt with Activated Charcoal.
Adding essential oils and sodium bicarbonate brings additional wellness benefits.
