Hawaiian Black Lava salt, is a naturally derived Hawaiian sea salt which has been blended with activated charcoal from coconut shells. Its grain makes it easy to use and its presence known, but in a subtle way. Well, as subtle as you can be when you are as beautiful as this salt is.
Experiment... this Black Wonder is at its best when paired with red meat, pork, fish, eggplant, potatoes, sashimi, scallops, fruit, kale, buttered popcorn and avocado. It is also pretty happy sitting around the rim of your Friday night cocktail (think Bloody Mary or Margarita).
Why not try... if you like this salt try the other Black Wonders - Cyprus Black Flake or our Indian Black Salt. Or for something different consider one of our more Flamboyant salts - Vintage Merlot, Wild Porcini or Rosemary.
Storage conditions... store in a cool, dry place. Some salts may retain moisture and become clumpy over time - this is normal as our salts are 100% natural and does not affect the quality of the salt.

I was looking for something new to try. This salt was amazing both in my cooking and on meals
I recently bought the black lava salt to serve with my home made burrata. The black is amazing on the white cheese along with the tiny crumb like texture of the salt. Absolutely loved it.
