Introducing... Szechuan (or Szechwan) Pepper salt. The first thing you need to know about this interesting salt is that Szechuan is not actually a peppercorn (it is actually a berry from an Asian bush). Secondly, although this is part of our fiery range, this salt is not as hot and spicy as you may expect - it actually has more citrusy / woodsy notes. Confused? Don't be. This salt keeps you on your toes but all for good cause. From the most extravagant gourmet dinners to sprinkling on top of a plate of french fries, Szechuan Pepper salt is the missing link that your taste buds have been longing for.

Experiment... this salt is a mainstay in Chinese and other Asian cuisines. It is perfect in Asian-inspired spice rubs and seasoning blends. Think salt and pepper squid, prawns, dumplings, curries, stir fries, chicken wings, tofu...the list is endless. And we like to use it on Western fare too - roasted veggies, a leg of lamb, steamed fish and burgers.

Why not try... the rest of our fiery salts. Or one of our smoky salts for something different - Chardonnay Oaked, Hickory or Habanero. We also have a stunning range of pink and black salts.

Storage conditions... store in a cool, dry place. Some salts may retain moisture and become clumpy over time - this is normal as our salts are 100% natural and does not affect the quality of the salt.
