Margarita Laced with Black Salt

Ingredients and Method

Fancy yourself as a cocktail waiter?  Wait no longer ... add some crushed Cyprus Black Lava Salt to the rim of your next Margarita to wow your drinking companions (and yourself).

INGREDIENTS for 1

45 ml Tequila
15 ml Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
40 ml sugar syrup
20 ml lemon or lime juice
ice
Cyprus Black Lava Salt, crushed, (this is easily done in a mortar and pestle)
ice
 

METHOD:

  1. Rub some cut lemon or lime around the rim of your glass. Carefully push the rim into some crushed salt.
  2. Place alcohol, syrup, juice and ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake and pour into the glass.
  3. Serve with extra ice and lemon or lime slices.
