Add a Kick to Your Cooking with Chilli Salt

A pinch of salt will take just about any dish to the next level, but we're kicking things up a notch with our fiery take on the humble kitchen staple.

We've created three hot and spicy sea salt blends that will turn an average cook into a culinary king or queen. Using flavoured salts in your cooking is so simple but makes a significant impact.

Sriracha Salt

This heated and zesty salt is made from a blend of sea salt, sriracha sauce and just a touch of habanero chilli. Sriracha is a delicious sauce that is hugely popular in Asian cuisine, especially in Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The sauce is made from a paste of chilli peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. It's between 1,000 - 2,500 Scoville Heat Units on the Scoville scale (a measurement of the spiciness or 'heat' of chilli peppers and other spicy foods).

Habanero Salt

Our delicious Habanero Salt is a blend of high-quality ground habanero chillies and sea salt. Habaneros are a very hot variety of the chilli pepper that sits around 100,000 - 350,000 SHU on the Scoville scale. They originated in the Amazon and eventually spread to Mexico, who is now the largest producer of the chilli worldwide.

Chipotle Salt

With a warm but not too spicy heat and delicious rich earthy flavour, our Chipotle Salt will bring a touch of fiesta to your kitchen. Chipotle is a variety of smoke-dried chilli used in both Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. The heat factor of a lone chipotle can vary from 3,000 - 10,000 SHU on the Scoville scale.

You can also top crackers with some avocado, hummus, tomato and finish it with chilli salt to curb those 3pm cravings.

Heat up the BBQ - Give boring spices the boot and use our chilli salts as a flavoursome rub for your meat before barbecuing. Our Sriracha Salt is a delicious addition to BBQ seafood such as prawns, and you can't go past the Chipotle Salt to add a Tex-Mex twist to cuts of pork or beef.

Get saucy - Amp up the flavour of your sauces by adding a dash of chilli salt. Everything from your basic tomato and barbecue sauces to salsa, guacamole, sweet chilli and curry sauces taste delicious with a bit of chilli salt.
